SPEAK OUT! Facebook Blitz for Sheldon Mustangs Friday

A Facebook Campaign has been started to Speak OUT! for the mustangs of Sheldon Refuge on Friday December 13th. Congress designated that day the “National Day of the Horse.” So join the Facebook “flashmob” https://www.facebook.com/events/238916992936959/permalink/238917219603603/ by clicking the link or searching “Take A Stand for Sheldon’s War Horses”

Join us Friday as we rally on Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Roger Wicker’s (R-MS) Facebook pages to demand accountability for the safety of our Sheldon wild horses. Senator Boxer is the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Senator Wicker is a member of this committee and his district covers Pelahatchie Mississippi, where American wild horses are being sent to J & S Associates for adoption. Despite J & S Associates being under investigation for the disappearance of over 200 horses shipped to the company in past years, they recently received over 200 more wild horses. Many of these horses are now unaccounted for. Please use the following links to go to their Facebook pages on Friday December 13th, which Congress has designated National Day of the Horse, and post comments on their pages demanding Congress does an independent investigation into what happened to the missing horses and the safety of all remaining horses be ensured. You can also call their offices at the numbers listed below to further emphasize your concern for these horses. Further down you will see details on why it is believed the missing horses have been sent to slaughter.

  1. I don’t have a facebook account. Can I still get involved? If so, how should I go about it? I would love to see what I can do! 🙂

    • Thank you Laura! I’m in the process of making this an event on my Google+ account. I can only hope and pray that some of my YouTube subscribers will be notified and, hopefully, participate. Justice for the Sheldons!

  2. Horses have made us what we are today. They’ve transported us across country, plowed our fields, given us entertainment (racing) and have helped handicap children enjoy life. And we pay our respects by killing them off….how sad. My father always said this is a great country we live in. Well let’s start taking care of this great country and showing respect to veterans, animals and the land. Once it’s gone there’s no getting it or them back.
