This is a fast slideshow of images from the BLM roundup at the Diamond HMA. A blog post was done giving some background on the operation: https://wheblog.wordpress.com/2013/01/18/diamond-roundup-begins/

On February 2 BLM will offer some yearlings for adoption at the holding site near Eureka. This option is not for everyone but it allows an adopter to control the stimulus given to their horse as the horse will never go to a facility. Fall in love for Valentines Day. http://www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/battle_mountain_field/blm_programs/wild_horse_and_burro/Diamond_Complex/adopting.html

  1. Thank you WHE for being there to keep an eye on things…as they are almost always sad or violent it must take alot of emotional stamina, but to me the public viewers keep the taxpayer paid employees of our federal government honest..so ty.

  2. It breaks my heart to see the freedom torn from these innocent wild horses who should be protected by our government from the atrocities that constantly befall them. It never ends and the cruelty is unacceptable that the BLM inflicts upon the mustangs consistently. The trauma and stress these magnificent creatures endure is mind boggling. Their families ripped away, their freedom stripped in a fleeting moment followed by imprisonment is appalling. The American public must be made more aware of the holocaust going on against the Wild Mustangs and Burros of America. Thank you WHE for you tireless, incredible work to bring this to peoples attention. One day, some day, it must change for the better for the horses sake.

  3. Can’t even imagine what they do at round ups when noone is watching. We desperatly need a Humane Care Policy implemented! Please keep fighting WHE, the wild ones and people like me are counting on you!
